Ayurveda and Yoga: A More Perfect Union
We are honored to offer classical Ayurvedic teachings through our resident Ayurveda teacher, Danielle Hanna. Danielle is a certified Ayurvedic Practitioner and Masters of Ayurveda Arts from the Mt. Madonna Institute. Thoroughly trained in classical Ayurveda, in addition to supplemental training in Restorative Yoga and Yoga through the Ayurvedic lens, she specializes in Preventative Health and offers educational programs here at The Bhaktishop like none other; comprehensive, illuminating, and life-altering. These are for curious students, those in need of self-care rituals, the uninitiated into yoga or Ayurveda, and for teachers that want to synthesize and grow their awareness of the ways that yoga's sister science can contribute to the conversation of modern yoga.

Ayurveda believes that the heart and the mind are deeply interconnected, and learning to soften and still both through soothing breathing practices with natural focus can be powerful medicine and important self-care especially in our very busy, modern world. It’s easy to not notice all of the stress and tension our bodies can hold. And when the body is tense, the mind is tense, which makes it very difficult to find ease in comfort within. Join Danielle as she guides you through a soothing and relaxing meditation while laying in a deeply supported savasana. Experience a more restful and healing state of balance as we weave the breath through the body to soften and release held tension; these classes are a wonderful gift to yourself. All levels welcome.

With Fall swirling her way in, she brings many delights. Beautiful crisp blue skies, electra-colored leaves floating through the air and amazing fruits and veggies calling to be roasted and savored. The natural energy of the season can be so full of beauty and it can also leave us feeling un-tethered, unfocused and stressed. It is a time to take the cues from Nature to ground down more fully and prepare for the quieter months of winter. Join us for an afternoon of exploring the preventative health practices of Ayurveda to support a more stable, balanced season, including a slow, gentle restorative practice to ground and support your mind and body.
