kirtan

sing, chant, celebrate

2nd Sundays 6PM-8PM

Join us on the second Sunday of each month to sing, chant and celebrate life and love! Satsang is keeping good, like-minded company, and kirtan is just one form of Bhakti yoga, the yoga of devotion. Practicing call-and-response singing and chanting age-old mantras helps open our hearts and connect us to source, the One who orchestrates All. Together you can sing, dance or just listen to the deep well carved out by joining your voices together with millions of others in this heart-opening practice.

Family Kirtan

Many special musicians share their musical talents including Lisa Mae leading with her heart and harmonium, Molly Padulo on her 100-year-old violin, the divine Lolo Woods with her otherworldly voice and harmonium, Tasha Danner with her angel-sweet voice and harmonium, Monicka Koneski keeping the beat on djembe, Diana Hulet lending responses and deep, rich harmonies, as well as many special and top-secret guests.

Families with children are always welcome to join in. Sing, listen, and dive in deep! By the way, can we interest you in homemade cookies, too? Because if the love isn’t enough, there is always baked goods… These evenings are held by donation to our Soul Project- needy peeps in our community and beyond, receiving every dollar and drop of your groovy love and soul. Sweet!

Yoga Workshop for Dealing with Trauma

This month we co-host Street Yoga founder and hometown hero Mark Lilly in a workshop entitled “Moving Through Trauma with Love and Stillness—How Yoga Can Help You Release Past Hurts (and Get On with Living Fully Right Now).” Co-taught by Mark Lilly, Lisa Mae and Diana, this workshop is for adults who are enduring any of the effects of any form of trauma, whether recent or old, psychic or physical, spiritual or emotional. Use yoga, chanting, and meditation as tools to move through old patterns. Go to the workshops page for more details.
