kirtan

sing, chant, and celebrate 2nd Sundays from 6PM-8PM

Join us on the second Sunday of each month to sing, chant and celebrate life and love! Satsang is keeping good, like-minded company, and kirtan is just one form of Bhakti yoga, the yoga of devotion. Practicing call-and-response singing and chanting age-old mantras helps open our hearts and connect us to our source. Together you can sing, dance or just listen to the deep well carved out by joining your voices together with millions of others in this heart-opening practice.

Our House Band, Mala, is composed of Lisa Mae, Monicka, Tasha and Molly (and occasional special guests,) all leading with heart, drums, harmonium and violin (and the occasional ukelele, too!).

These evenings are held by donation to various spiritual, community, and non-profit organizations that help us further our outreach into the community and beyond with direct and meaningful contributions.

Click on the "Giving" Page to see how singing kirtan is directly serving the greater spiritual and communal good each and every month. At The Bhaktishop, we chant to make ourselves free from the mundane material attachments of this world, to grow our loving capacity beyond our immediate bias and attention, and to promote God-consciousness for all beings. Chant and Be Happy!

Sing, listen, and dive in deep!
