The Bhaktishop Equity Pricing
A resource for those that are experiencing the impact of income inequity
In addition to continually offering you affordable and by-donation options M-F at 4pm, we also have an Equity Pricing program for seekers of self-care, health and wellness through yoga from all income inequities. People of color are disproportionately impacted by barriers to health care and wellness services due to systemic and institutional systems in place that have created these barriers, and we wish to push back against that impact with this off-set. By submitting a request here, any person that is experiencing the impact of income inequity can receive Equity Pricing access to yoga. These are given by request and after a brief review, and those who hold marginalized identities (black/POC, disabled, indigenous, low-income, LGBTQIA+, etc.) will be prioritized. Please download the request for below for more details, and as always, email us at email@example.com with questions. We hope to continue to serve you day in and day out, providing resources and access for all, and removing barriers that prevent that access.
***Each year, in an effort to broaden equity and inclusion in the culture of yoga, we offer Equity Scholarships for students of color that are impacted by financial inequity to attend our Yoga Teacher Training Program. We recognize that it is difficult to do the work of broadening this equity when people do not see themselves represented in the practices, studios, and publications/media around them, or their access to it is barred by financial inequity.
We believe that there is a need for many different voices to teach in all kinds of communities. We are also committed to supporting and cultivating the people, language and approach that most effectively communicates yoga teachings and informed community-building work. Please inquire here if you or someone you know are interested in this Teacher Training Equity Scholarship.
The Bhaktishop's Equity Pricing
The purpose of this Equity Pricing is to make yoga available to anyone experiencing the impact of financial inequity and barriers to health and wellness services.
Even as we endeavor to continue to broaden inclusivity and equity, our funds are indeed limited, and so submitting a request for Equity Pricing does not guarantee that you will receive it right away, though we will work hard to make it happen as quickly as possible. The pricing is available in two levels: 10-class cards for $30 or $60, which expire if unused in 6 months. Please indicate on the request which level best suits your situation. Please also note that you may request Equity Pricing once every four months. Those who hold marginalized identities (black/POC, disabled, indigenous, low-income, LGBTQIA+, etc.) will be prioritized.
Request details: We will contact you by e-mail (or phone if you do not have access to email) when your request has been received and processed. If you receive Equity Pricing, we will inform you about it and give you the details on its beginning date as soon as possible. Please call us at 503)244-0108 or email us with any questions about the process here at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Workshop Equity Pricing
If you are interested in applying for Workshop Equity Pricing for a specific workshop, please indicate that on the application and fill in the blank there with the appropriate workshop that you would like to attend, as well as what you are able to offer to pay towards it. We will discuss it with the presenter of the workshop and get back to you ASAP!
Thank you for your love of yoga, your interest in caring for yourself and your community, and wanting to share it with us here at The Bhatkishop. Know that we will carefully consider all requests as we endeavor to create access and make resources available to all who need it.
Please bring your completed request (along with any relevant info requested) to the yoga center, or email your request to email@example.com.
