"This practice has allowed me to soften as a person and to have acceptance for myself and others."
I took my first asana class in high school at the age of 16 and loved it. However, I didn't discover yoga as a whole until I found The Bhaktishop in 2012. I felt a strong need to work on who I was and to have a sense of community--a real connection with others. The Bhaktishop has that sense of community, and that is what drew me in. I signed up for the 200 hour teacher training and completed it in 2013. I am currently enrolled in the 500 Hour Training program here as well, and completed the Prenatal Yoga Teacher Training this summer. I feel blessed to have the opportunity to hold space for fellow practitioners and mothers-to-be, and to have loving teachers that allow me to continue as a student.
This practice has allowed me to soften as a person and to have acceptance for myself and others. It has allowed me to open up to change and transformation and to embrace it. I feel overwhelming gratitude to be on this path, continuing to learn and always meeting friendly faces.
Outside of teaching, I am working towards completing the DONA Doula certification and doing some of my favorite activities such as hiking, identifying plants, taking pictures, movie-going, and cuddling with my dogs.
