The Body Braid and the Body Braid Loops are a revolutionary way to practice yoga asana and beyond; to find resilience, resistance and muscle energy as you reinvigorate your yoga practice. Open to all students and teachers of all levels, this is an amazing opportunity to wear and practice in the Body Braid and in the Body Braid Loops with a skilled teacher and one of the co-creators of this amazing tool. Diane is a key proponent of this kind of alternative movement, and will share four asana classes and workshops that are accessible, totally practical, and full of body wisdom as she shares this totally unique device for transformation and strength. On the cutting edge of modern movement study, human bio-mechanics, and the healthy spine and joints movement, the Body Braid and the Body Braid Loops can and will change the way you sit, stand, practice, and do just about everything! Not to be missed.
Each day, Diane will share something different and go deeper into the concepts behind the Body Braid and Loops, sharing their practical wisdom in both teaching and practicing yoga, as the evolution of yoga asana continues. If you teach private classes, practice yoga therapy, have a history of your own injuries, are an alignment and anatomy of movement geek, are a chiro or massage therapist or a PT or any other movement-related practitioner, you enjoy cross-training work, or work with any kind of physically compromised population, this may change the game for you, and your students. Learn about unconscious repetition and strain patterns that lead to some of the more common injuries in yoga, and in general revolutionize how you see and feel your own body both in held posture, daily movement, and in motion. See how you can use these tools at all levels to gait strength, flexibility, better balance and more.
This is an incredible opportunity! Space is extremely limited, please register ASAP. Please come 20-30 minutes early for the Public classes on Saturday at 1pm and Sunday at 9am, so we can get everyone into a Body Braid quickly and begin on time!
(300 Hour students: 12 asana hours)
