This training integrates the time-tested wisdom of Ayurveda with current Western medical understandings of the nervous system to more deeply inform the restorative yoga practice.
Through experiential practices, practicum and lecture you’ll learn Ayurvedic approaches to breath practices, posture sequencing, seasonal attunement and timing in conjunction with information about how the nervous system functions and what we can do through restorative yoga to increase the suppleness and resiliency of this influential part of our physiology.
Yoga teachers and practitioners, healers and those in the helping professions can benefit from this training to either support others or apply it to personal practice.
In order to bring you the best of both worlds, this training will be co-taught by two yoga teachers, Danielle Hanna, an Ayurvedic practitioner and Kate Busby, a licensed acupuncturist and an ongoing student of Somatic Experiencing.
(This training fulfills 10 hours for Advanced Study Students, divided into 5 hours for Ayurveda and 5 hours for Teaching Methodology)
