Saturday, January 13th, 3-4:30, $15 drop-in and class cards/passports welcome
People who are healing from trauma and other overwhelming experiences, whether recent or historic, can benefit from a yoga practice that utilizes invitational language, creates options, and encourages listening to the inner teacher with regards to movement, breathing and rest. A trauma-informed practice offers participants a supportive space to connect with their own internal experience, while practicing in the container of a community environment.
The class will include a light discussion on the physiology of both trauma and resilience, and how somatic practices like yoga can nourish ongoing healing. The practice will involve a combination of movement, focused breathing and gently guided meditation. No personal disclosure is necessary, and all levels of yoga experience are invited into the space.
