In this four-part series, dive into Ayurveda in a practical and experiential way, working with and learning the daily self-care rituals that are an integral part of Ayurveda. Practice yoga and pranayama through the lens of Ayurveda, balancing yourself according to the seasons and the doshas, learn and eat and touch and play with practical Ayurvedic techniques (yay food!) for both cooking and eating, rub oil all over your body and up your nose, and more. This series has the potential to alter your life, and will teach you actual practices that can change your relationship to self-care, and to yourself. Informative on a personal level and also incredibly applicable to teaching in the classroom, this series is not to be missed.

Join Danielle in this 4 week series to learn about daily practice. In each session we will explore several of the limbs of classical yoga including asana (postures), pranayama (breath control), pratyahara (withdrawing the mind from sense perception) and dharana (concentration) moving towards a place of dhyana or meditation. This training integrates the time-tested wisdom of Ayurveda with current Western medical understandings of the nervous system to more deeply inform the restorative yoga practice. In order to bring you the best of both worlds, this training will be co-taught by two yoga teachers, Danielle Hanna, an Ayurvedic practitioner and Kate Busby, a licensed acupuncturist and an ongoing student of Somatic Experiencing.
